What You Could Not Visualise OST LP Music by REMA-REMA and more

£24.99 - £26.99

What You Could Not Visualise is an intimate portrait of London post-punk band Rema-Rema. Constructed by Marco Porsia and screened first in 2022, this cultural excavation documents the short life of Rema-Rema, forming in 1979 for the short duration of just eleven gigs before guitarist Marco Pirroni joined Adam And The Ants but given a long afterlife thanks to the posthumous 1980 12” “Wheel In The Roses” on then-nascent London record label 4AD.

Distilled down to around 35 minutes, this limited vinyl-only release collates the best from the movie soundtrack, blending dialogue, remixes and specially written pieces into a seamless, thematic whole. A poignant document capturing the liminal space between punk and post-punk that signifies Rema-Rema's brief stab at posterity, it weaves together spoken word with elegaic musical interludes, propulsive and glacially-charged remixes plus a dusty boombox 1979 live recording from the Rainbow Theatre. No Download for now, best listened to as it is intended: on your turntable.

Music by Teho Teardo, Phil Puleo, Karl Bonnie and an unreleased Rema-Rema live track from 1979. Dialogue from Kim Deal, Steve Albini, Ivo Watts-Russell and Peter Kent (4AD, Situation Two), Stephen Mallinder (Cabaret Voltaire), Malaria!, Jim Thirwell (Foetus), Franke Nardiello (Thrill Kill Kult), Kevin Mooney (Adam And The Ants) and Mike Connelly (Ministry, Revolting Cocks) plus remixes by The Mekon (Zos Kia, Psychic TV) and Renegade Connection.

Design by LSD Studio. Limited pressing, black vinyl plus a smaller grey vinyl edition.
