The hardcore / punk scene on Prince Edward Island has seen a bit of a resurgence in the past couple years. A DIY spirit and all ages community that is rarely seen elsewhere around the maritimes these days, I place a lot of the blame for this beautiful corruption of the youth at the feet of the Charlottetown freak show known as Antibodies. It should come as no surprise that we’ve been fans of what this lot has been putting down for the past few years: short, fast and loud / chaotic, distorted, blasts of hardcore punk that has ‘oddball’ written all over it. Blend all that in with the riffs to back it up and some general weirdness stemming from a lifetime of growing up in Canada’s east coast and you’ve got a total shit show that has started to catch the attention of plenty of folks internationally in the DIY punk/ hardcore scene.
